Do you like to sing or dance? Is acting your specialty? If so, you'll love being a part of Next Act, Next House's annual musical production, performed by students, for students. Each spring, residents get together and transform our main lounge into a mini theatre, complete with a stage and lights for the production. Recent shows have included Grease, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and this year's performance of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Some people sing, some people dance, others play in the pit orchestra. A good time is had by all. Don't worry if you aren't a star performer either. Skill levels range from those who can barely hold a tune to those in a capella groups, to others from MIT's campus-wide production groups. Next Act is a learning experience and a great time spent hanging out with friends and meeting new ones. And then there's the final performance in April ... because you know you've always wanted to be the star of the show! |
