| When can I arrive on campus? | |
|
Check-in for regular students is August 23rd - 25th. International students arrive between the 16th - 18th of August. |

| Where do I sleep when I arrive? | |
|
You will be placed in a temporary room for the week of orientation until you move into your permanent room on Thursday August 29th. Bedsheets and pillows can be provided if absolutely necessary, but as you will be in your permanent residence hall when you arrive, you should bring most of your stuff (including your sheets) with you. |

| When do we find out who our roommates are? | |
|
You have the first four days of orientation to get to know people and meet potential roommates before the housing lottery. You choose them; they are not assigned. |

| When do we find out what room we are in? | |
|
CORRECTION: The housing lottery for freshmen will be held on Wednesday August 28th. The lottery was previously advertised on August 29th. Residents are placed in a random order within their class. You will choose your own room based on availability at the time the roommate with the highest number is called. |

| When do we move into our permanent rooms? | |
|
CORRECTION: Freshmen will move into their fall assignment on Thursday August 29th. Move in date was previously advertised as August 30th. |

| Can I mail packages to Next House during orientation? | |

Yes. However, due to space limitations, make sure they arrive after you do. You can send them to the following address:

By Car from the West Take The Massachusetts Turnpike (Interstate 90) East to the Cambridge/ Brighton Exit 18. Continue straight over the River Street bridge. Immediately after crossing the bridge take a right onto Memorial Drive. 500 will be about 1.5 miles ahead, on your left. By Car from the North or South Take Interstate 95 to Interstate 93. Take exit 26 and follow signs to Back Bay along Storrow Drive West. After approximately 1.5 miles, take the exit for Route 2A, Massachusetts Avenue on your left. Turn right at the end of the exit onto Mass Ave. You will be heading across the Charles River into Cambridge. After crossing, turn left at the first stoplight onto Amherst Alley. 500 Memorial Drive will be on your left, about 1/2 mile down the road. By Subway Take the MBTA Red Line to Kendall Square station. Exit the station and walk toward Memorial Drive, parallel to the river. Walk westbound on Memorial Drive (face the river and take a right) about 1 mile. 500 will be on your right. By Bus Alternatively, take the #1 bus (Mass Ave) to MIT/77 Mass Ave. Walk down Mass Ave. toward the river. Do not cross the bridge, but instead take a right onto Memorial Drive and walk about 1/2 mile to 500 on your right. |
